(Telecompaper) Sony has announced the Xperia SP and Xperia L smartphones, set to launch worldwide in the second quarter. Both come in white, red and black and run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The Xperia SP, built around a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor, supports LTE, and comes with an 8MP camera with 8x zoom and a 4.6-in HD display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. The Xperia L has a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor and features HSPA+ connectivity, an 8MP camera with 4x zoom and a 4.3-in display with a 854x480 pixel resolution. Both come with 8GB of internal storage, of which up to 5.8GB is user-accessible, microSD card slots for up to 32GB of additional storage, NFC connectivity, and the Walkman app for access to downloaded music plus Music Unlimited with its selection of over 18 million tracks. Both models also feature Sony's One-touch functions for instant access to music and photos from devices such as NFC-enabled Bravia TVs. Sony did not dislose any pricing information.
