Southwest adding nonstop flights to West Coast and Boston

Columbus travelers are getting long-awaited nonstop service to the West Coast in a move economic-development officials say will boost the Central Ohio economy by improving access to Silicon Valley. Southwest Airlines announced Thursday that it would begin flights between Port Columbus International Airport and Oakland International Airport to get travelers to the San Francisco area and Silicon Valley, in addition to new direct flights to Logan International Airport in Boston.
