Waterless Co., Inc. made quite a splash when it introduced no-water urinals made of up to 30 percent soybean resin. Hailed as an environmental breakthrough, soybean resins help reduce petrochemical use, which results in fewer greenhouse gasses.<br />

But, receiving less attention is that these soy-based urinals are strong, passing or exceeding tests established by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for warping, scratch resistance, and other categories.<br />
