(Telecompaper) Spotify ended the first quarter with a total of 170 million monthly active users, up 30 percent from a year earlier. Ad-supported users increased 21 percent to 99 million, driven by recent expansion in Asia, and paid subscribers rose 45 percent to 75 million, helped by extended trial periods in certain markets to drive conversion.
