Ramsey County Commissioner Janice Rettman is the new chair of the Minnesota High-Speed Rail Commission, and the first order of business is a $1 million request for rail improvements in St. Paul. The Minnesota High-Speed Rail Commission is supporting Ramsey County Regional Railroad Authority's request to the Legislature for $1 million to fund the environmental analysis and engineering of a grade separation project in the St. Paul rail yards.
