St. Pauls set to OK incentive deal

The St. Pauls Board of Commissioners is expected to approve an incentives package for poultry giant Sanderson Farms on Thursday that calls for the company to create at least 950 jobs and guarantee an investment in the community of at least $100 million. In exchange, St. Pauls is providing a tax grant for 10 years equivalent to 50 percent, or about $300,000 a year, of what the company will owe in property taxes.
