ASTM International standard provides test method for high-performance paper used to insulate electrical parts of motors, transformers, ballasts, gaskets, and heat shields. Test described in new standard will be used for quality control during different stages of manufacturing to final product. Manufacturers of aramid paper and their customers will benefit from this new standard, to be published as D7812, Test Method for Tensile Testing of Aramid Paper.
