State spends $1.46 million to conserve 116 acres of farmland on Lee's Golden Hill

The state Department of Agricultural Resources announced last week it has conserved 116 acres along Golden Hill Road through a Agricultural Preservation Restriction, according to state and local environmental officials. Under the APR program, the agricultural agency bought the acreage for $1.46 million from Schweitzer Mauduit International on behalf of the Robert Bartini family of Lee.
