Joint statement issued by AIA, National Defense Industrial Association, Research!America, and United for Medical Research urges Congress to raise budget caps restraining investments in national security and medical research. Citing threats to American security, prosperity, and global leadership, letter called Federal Reserve's recent revision downward of U.S. annual industrial production "relevant and alarming"  Industry stress was also linked to Budget Control Act-imposed budget caps.
