The Wall Street correction that began Aug. 21 has vaporized more than $43 billion in stock market value at Georgia's largest public companies. The sell-off that saw the Dow Jones Industrial Average plunge 531 points on Aug. 21, 588 points on Aug. 24 and 204 points on Aug. 25 has erased $12 billion in stock value at The Home Depot Inc. , $11 billion at The Coca-Cola Co.
