Summary of international coronavirus-related telecoms and media news - week 16

2020-04-19 23:21:00| Telecompaper Headlines

(Telecompaper) We have seen similar trends in week 16 as we saw in the previous weeks since mid February. Telecoms traffic and media consumption are up dramatically, but there isn't just good news for the TMT sectors - far from it. Live events are scrapped, shops are closed, costs are on the rise and the advertising market is imploding. As a result, share prices are down and relief funds are created to provide for the livelyhood of all those affected, especially in the realms of sports, arts and entertainment.
