According to Zacks, "SUPERVALU reported dismal second-quarter fiscal 2016 results with earnings and sales missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 7.14% and 1.94%, respectively. Although higher gross profit boosted year-over-year earnings, sales remained flat as positive identical store sales in the Save-A-Lot network was offset by negative same store sales in retail food and independent Save-A-Lot stores.
