Garry Lloyd Jones says his life has 'collapsed' since the blaze in Ancaster Square in which partner Bernard Hender and friend Doug McTavish died A survivor of the fatal fire linked to a faulty tumble dryer has slammed manufacturers for refusing to reveal when faults were first found. Garry Lloyd Jones, 49, said his life has "collapsed" since the blaze at his flat that killed his partner Bernard Hender, 19, and friend Doug McTavish, 39. He spoke out after a pre-inquest hearing was told the dryer believed to have sparked the flat fire in Ancaster Square, Llanrwst , Conwy , in October 2014 was one of the faulty models now subject to Whirlpool's national safety alert.
