Red is an OTTB without the thoroughbred disposition. He is calm and well mannered. Red is my first horse and I am a completely green rider. He is patient and was able to learn my body language while riding very quickly. He is athletic and will trot and gallop when asked, yet stop readily. When I purchased him, I expected him to go from stop to gallop, and was so pleased at his willingness to walk, trot and only gallop when asked. He stands beautifully to be groomed, saddled, mounted, for farrier and loads quietly. He was raced for almost 8 years and thus doesn't startle and works well in new places. I have trailered him to meet friends for a trial ride and he was the best of the bunch. He is currently stabled with another horse and is on the bottom of the pecking order. His ankles are fused and thus, he is not a horse for jumping. He currently has shoes on this front feet.
