Symantc appoints Brown as CEO

(Telecompaper) Security software group Symantec has named Michael Brown its chief executive, with immediate effect, Reuters reported. Brown has been serving as interim CEO since March, succeeding Steve Bennett, whose contract as president and CEO was terminated. Symantec said that Brown will share the company's strategic plan with shareholders, customers and employees within the next 30 days.
