Syngenta preps for a deal - without Monsanto

With or without Monsanto - Syngenta AG may be gearing up for a deal. While preliminary merger talks reported between Monsanto and Syngenta earlier this year did not culminate in a transaction, the discussions indicate Syngenta is open to a deal - either as an acquirer or a target, Bloomberg reports.
