TPU and PEBA Compounds optimize catheter manufacturing.

ProPell™ thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and polyether block amide (PEBA) compounds minimize tackiness and friction in soft, flexible polymers, to ensure optimal manufacturing and handling of medical catheters. Using non-migratory additive, compounds do not alter physical properties of unmodified polymers. Parts produced from TPU have coefficient of friction of 0.05, while those made from PEBA have minimal coefficient of friction and retain similar tensile strength and elongation.
