TS Niala making turn to the west; Tropical Storm Watch posted

Tropical Storm Niala is inching closer to the Big Island, where a Tropical Storm Watch remains posted, but has begun moving toward the west on a track that will take its center just south of the state. Forecasters at the Central Pacific Hurricane Center said at 11 a.m. Saturday, Niala was 265 miles southeast of Hilo, or 475 miles east-southeast of Honolulu.
