TSMC quickly ramping up 16nm volume production

TSMC has stated that it's rapidly ramping its 16nmFF process now, and expects to be in volume production in its second-generation 16nmFF+ process by the end of the year. The new announcements are meant to quell investor fears that the foundry giant lost Apple orders to its rival, Samsung.
