Telenor CEO accepts to stay until 2016

(Telecompaper) Telenor has asked CEO Jon Fredrik Baksaas to extend his contract until the end of 2015. Baksaas, who will become 60 years old in November, has accepted. From January 2016, he will act as special advisor to Telenor for 12 months, reporting to the board. It is not yet known who will replace him then as CEO. Baksaas has been CEO since 2002 and previously served as CFO at the Norwegian company.
