TeliaSonera plans to rebrand as Telia Company

(Telecompaper) TeliaSonera said shareholders at its 12 April annual general meeting (AGM) will decide whether it should change names and become Telia Company. The new name would signify its strategy to become "a new generation telco", which it said was a "journey" that began two and a half years ago. Since then, a new strategy, organisation and operating model have been set, and it has acquired and divested companies as well as venturing into new areas
