Department of Justice and U.S. EPA announced that Flint Hills Resources of Port Arthur agreed to implement innovative technologies to control harmful air pollution from industrial flares and leaking equipment at chemical plant in Port Arthur, TX. This settlement came about as part of EPA's national effort to protect communities that have been disproportionately impacted by pollution. Company is also required to pay $350,000 penalty for Clean Air Act violations.
