The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 122.33 points, or 0.8%, to 16,479.88 today-its 50th record high this year-as Exxon Mobil , International Business Machines , the Home Depot and United Technologies gained, and just one component- JPMorgan Chase -finished in the red.
