Investors were scratching their heads trying to find reasons to justify this week's fall in markets: a potential Grexit, rising peripheral spreads, a slowing rate of incline in bank-lending to corporates , higher margins requirements in China, a stronger combined with lower volumes and squaring of books ahead of earnings season were all cited as valid concerns. Many investors also pointed out April is traditionally a poor month as investors reassess post-Q1.
