Recently I had the good fortune to fulfill a long-term dream to sail on the original Sea Cloud, a four-masted ship of great beauty. Designed as his fifth by the financier E. F. Hutton and originally known as the Hussar V, this German-built ship was hailed in the papers as "the largest private sailing yacht in the world" when it was built in 1932.
