The high price of lower cholesterol

A new type of drug to lower LDL or "bad" cholesterol won approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Friday. The drug, called Praluent, from Sanofi and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc., is considered the first major advance in cholesterol treatment since statins were first introduced more than 20 years ago.
