Forgoing anew the traditional ceremonies at Malacaang Palace, President Benigno Noy Aquino III quietly signed into law the Sugarcane Industry Development Act of 2015. The new law under Republic Act 10659 lays down the legal groundwork to supposedly maximize production of the country\'s sugarcane industry.
