Wal-Mart Stores Inc.'s decision to raise its minimum wage for U.S. employees was promptly followed by T.J. Maxx parent TJX Cos., which said this week it too will pay workers at least $9 an hour. A UBS study of 20,000 employees with profiles on job review site Glassdoor.com found that chains such as Foot Locker Inc. Teen retailers that employ many part-time, hourly workers may also feel the need to compete, said UBS analysts.
