TiVo launches 4k, ad-skipping TiVo Bolt

(Telecompaper) TiVo said it has introduced the TiVo Bolt, a 4K entertainment system it says provides unprecedented speed to and through content. Bolt features a one-touch Commercial SkipMode that enables viewers to skip entire commercial breaks. The new QuickMode allows for 30 percent faster viewing of recorded shows while maintaining perfect audio, enabling the average viewer to potentially recapture a month of time in one's life each year. TiVo also said the new system will help users save money, especially in households with many TVs. TiVo Bolt 500 GB is available for USD 299.99, including a first year of annual service, and TiVo Bolt 1000 GB is available for USD 399.99, with a year of service. TiVo Bolt will be available 30 September at TiVo.com, BestBuy.com and Amazon.com, and in stores starting 4 October at Best Buy, Magnolia Home Theater and Magnolia Design Centers.
