(Telecompaper) Time Warner has acquired a 10 percent stake in streaming TV service Hulu for USD 583 million. It joins Disney, 21st Century Fox and Comcast as shareholders in the joint venture. In addition, the company has agreed to contribute content from its Turner stable of channels to Hulu, including TNT, TBS, CNN, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, truTV, Boomerang and Turner Classic Movies. The content will launch on Hulu's new live-streaming service, which is slated to launch early next year. In addition to live channels, Hulu will continue to offer its ad-supported VoD service and the ad-free subscription VoD service.
