U.S. Steel adjusts production in Alabama, Texas; could affect nearly 2,000 employees

United States Steel Corp. has informed nearly 2,000 employees that it will temporarily adjust operations at three locations throughout Alabama and Texas. In a statement released Monday, the company said the adjustment is a temporary reduction in operating levels and is not a full idling of plant operations.
