To commemorate global role standardization plays in various capacities, U.S. celebration of World Standards Day on October 27, 2016 will center around "Standards Build Trust" theme. Festivities will include reception and gala dinner at Fairmont Washington, presentation of 2016 Ronald H. Brown Standards Leadership Award, as well as announcement of 2016 World Standards Day Paper Competition winners by president of SES – The Society for Standards Professionals.
