U.S. close to banning in-flight cellphone use

While the Federal Communications Commission has said there's likely no technical problem with allowing passengers to make or receive calls while in the air, the Department of Transportation is citing evidence that there is widespread opposition to allowing such calls, according to a report from The Wall Street Journal .
