UNICA: Increased Sugar Cane Grinding Directed Toward Ethanol Production

The Brazilian Sugarcane Industry Association (UNICA) announced October 1 that it estimates sugar cane-grinding in the South-Central region of Brazil to reach 587 million metric tons this 2013/2014 season, a decrease of 0.44% over its projection released in April (589.6 million metric tons) and an increase of 10.18% versus the volume of sugar cane processed in the last harvest (532.76 million metric tons).
