US Q2 in brief - American Eagle Outfitters, Burlington Stores, Dollar General

In the latest second-quarter filings from US apparel and footwear brands and retailers, American Eagle Outfitters has booked a record US$1.04bn in total net revenue, Burlington Stores reported a 19% jump in earnings, while Abercrombie & Fitch widened its net losses. Elsewhere, Tilly's delivered better than expected net sales, and Chico's CEO Bonnie Brooks said the retailer is seeing evidence of progress within the business.
