Second-quarter earnings for the retail sector as a whole are forecast to be lower than the prior month, despite easy year-on-year comparisons. Black Diamond widened its losses, while Iconix Brand Group halved its profit, and Kate Spade & Co was back in the black thanks to higher sales. Weyco Group's net profit was hampered by foreign currency headwinds.
