In the most recent second-quarter filings from US apparel and footwear brands and retailers, The Children's Place booked what it says were outstanding operating results, while Destination Maternity recorded its third straight quarter of comparable sales improvement. Wolverine Worldwide, meanwhile, booked a strong second-quarter with revenue and earnings that surpassed expectations, while Nordstrom saw an improvement in sales, beating company expectations.
