US Q3 in brief: L Brands, Target Corp, Wal-Mart

In the most recent third-quarter filings from US apparel brands and retailers, Kate Spade & Co returned to profit, while Under Armour, Target Corp and L Brands lifted their full-year guidance. TJX Companies booked earnings and sales growth, but Nordstrom, Dick's Sporting Goods and Wal-Mart lowered their full-year outlook. JC Penney narrowed its loss, while Dillard's, Macy's and Urban Outfitters all posted double-digit earnings declines.
