US Q4 in brief: Nordstrom, Levi Strauss, Columbia Sportswear, Rocky Brands

In the most recent fourth-quarter filings from US apparel brands and retailers, both Skechers and Columbia Sportswear published record sales growth and higher earnings, while Levi Strauss & Co moved to a profit, despite what it says was a "challenging year". Rocky Brands expressed disappointment with its finish to 2015, but offered an optimistic outlook for the coming fiscal year, while Nordstrom's results were described as "lacklustre" by one analyst.
