(Telecompaper) US Senator Elizabeth Warren, a Democrat candidate for US president in 2020, has proposed breaking up big tech companies like Google, Facebook and Amazon in order to improve competition. Known for her work on fighting for consumer financial regulations, Warren said more needs to be done to protect small businesses using the big companies' platforms and protect start-ups trying to enter the same markets.
