In Nordson BKG™ Underwater Pelletizers, cutter hub and blade assembly produces pellets from polymer as it exits holes in die by rotating rapidly against die face. Redesign maximizes throughput by accommodating up to 36 angled blades per hub or up to 40 straight blades, providing versatility for users who run multiple materials. As alternative to increased throughput, operator can reduce pelletizer rpm, maintaining standard throughput while minimizing wear to die plate and blades.
