Telegraph: Britain has long been proud of its island history, a history exemplified by the castles, monasteries and settlements dotted dramatically around its 11,073 mile coastline.
But those historic buildings and battlements are under threat as never before, as the same seas that have protected us for centuries eat away at the land.
