Universal Stainless reports third-quarter profit

Universal Stainless & Alloy Products today reported a third-quarter profit, reversing a loss from the year-ago quarter but falling shy of analyst estimates. The Bridgeville specialty metals producer said net income totaled $1.4 million, or 20 cents per share, versus a loss of $1.7 million, or 25 cents per share, in the year-ago quarter.
