VF 2Q profit falls, but beats Street, ups outlook

Revenue improved on strong sales overseas and demand for its outdoor and action sports brands that include North Face and Vans and as well as Wrangler jeans VF earned $138.3 million, or $1.24 per share, for the period ended June 29. That compares with $155.3 million, or $1.40 per share, a year earlier.
