Environmental Services has completed a project that repaired deteriorating sewer pipes in the Vernon, Sabin and Alameda neighborhoods, roughly north of the Alameda Ridge. The project included over 8,500 feet of open-cut sewer work, 825 feet of cured-in-place-pipe liner work, over 4,800 feet of lateral connections (the pipes that service individual properties), and 38 manholes across 34 city blocks. This project has improved sewer system performance and added capacity to the collection system.
