VW announced cheating on emissions in hopes of striking deal, may miss March 24 deadline

Volkswagen admitted in German court today that it came clean about its emissions cheating in the hopes of convincing the EPA to limit its exposure to damages. The company expects no quick resolution to its US emissions problem, despite a looming deadline from US courts.
