(Telecompaper) Vaio, a PC manufacturer spun off from Sony in 2014, is hoping to close a merger deal with the PC divisions of Toshiba and Fujitsu by the end of March, Bloomberg reported, citing a statement from Kidemi Moue, the CEO of Sony's Japan Industrial Partners. Vaio expects to own the biggest stake in the merged company, which could help the trio save on research and development and scale production, Moue said.
