Valerie Palmieri to lead the cancer-fighting company Vermillion

This is the second CEO change in less than a year for Vermillion, which is trying to build a sales and distribution system for its OVA1 test for ovarian cancer. Vermillion Inc. has promoted Valerie Palmieri to its CEO and president position effective Jan. 1, 2015, with current CEO James LaFrance continuing as chairman of the company's board.
