Used to reduce amplitude of electronic signature in electronic scenarios, variable step attenuators come in 3 and 6 GHz frequency models. Connector configurations include SMA and N type connectors with side or rear mount positions. Promoting continuous data reading, hot-switchable models enable on-the-fly attenuation changes without system power down. Models with varying attenuation adjustments are available, including 0–12 dB attenuation in 1 dB steps and 0–40 dB attenuation in 10 dB steps.
