Verizon reaches tentative agreement with strikers

(Telecompaper) Verizon has reached a tentative agreement with unions over a contract agreement. The deal ends the strike by nearly 40,000 Verizon workers which began on 13 April. The Communications Workers of America (CWA) said members have reached their "major" goals and achieved the first contract for wireless retail store workers.
